Could someone please give me some insight to the level of play in this league? The research I have done leads me to beleive it is a very good league that moves players on to various levels throughout Canada and the US.

I know comparrisons between junior leagues can be hard, but some information I read/hear says it is better than the NAHL, while others claim it is one step below.

And how would this league be for a US born player?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Steve,

Calibre-wise, the Manitoba Jr. Hockey League is about on par with the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. It has 11 teams, the NOJHL has 7.

I would say both the MJHL and the NOJHL are very close in calibre to the NAHL. Comparatively speaking, if on a Tier 2, Jr. A scale of 1-10, the NAHL is a "10" then the NOJHL and the MJHL are both a "9."

Like the NOJHL, MJHL teams can roster up to 8 American-born players as imports.
