Brock Raffeale is an exciting player who no doubt Mr. Russen knows from the Soo Eagles. Yes he and Robby Payne and Andrew Graves have been key player's for the Junior Wings as they go or first place. I wish to point out the "un sung" player who play for the Junior Wings notebly Anthony Appleyard who is +28 which is the best on the Junior Wings. Thanks for these articles which I am sure the player's enjoy seeing their names in JUNIORHOCKEY.com which is the #1 site for Junior Hockey covradge by far! I enjoy reading about the Michigan Teams in the N.A.H.L. Thank You to all concerned.

I second the motion! This is "bonus" coverage on the NAHL "North" and the Northern Ontario League thanks to Randy. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the nice words. But my columns that appear here would not have been possible without Stephen (The Hustler) Heisler who tracked me down through Bruno Bragagnolo of the Soo Eagles and "made me an offer I couldn't refuse" to write for JuniorHockey.com.

Kalamazoo has taken over first place in the NAHL North with one game to play. The Jr. K-Wings got three goals from Kyle Gattelaro tonight en route to a 7-4 decision over Port Huron Fighting Falcons. The two teams will meet again on Saturday afternoon in K-Zoo with the winner taking first place.

Port Huron defeated Kalamazoo 2-1 this afternoon to claim first place in NAHL North. Ergo, Port Huron will play Michigan Warriors and Kalamazoo will face Traverse City North Stars in the first round of the playoffs.

FYI, Monday's column will deal with the Michigan Warriors facing the daunting task of playing the Port Huron Fighting Falcons in the first round of the playoffs. Just got off the phone with Warriors coach-general manager Moe Mantha.
