The Ultimate Hockey Job: Seeking A-List Representatives

Technology has changed the way hockey is played. Now it is also changing junior and college coaches' levels of recruiting. The game has evolved from a sport with pockets of participation in different areas of the continent, to a truly international sport with domestic players in every state and province. It is all but impossible to see every top prospect or to identify that diamond in the rough. The next Wayne Gretzky is likely to turn up in Barrow, Moose Jaw, or even Miami Beach. Yes the game has changed.

AmericanJuniorHockey.com is seeking former college or junior players to act as our representatives in every corner of the hockey world. From San Diego to Nova Scotia and South Beach to Fairbanks, we have a goal to meet with every peewee and bantam team in North America by the end of the 2011-2012 season.

This is a tall order. Ambitious? Certainly. Doable? We think so. Accurate Information is the key to any players' individual marketing effort, and we take huge strides to helping each of our prospects share theirs.

Representatives will make contact and form relationships with every peewee and bantam team in their area. The idea is to set up a fifteen minute meeting with the players and parents of each team. Reps talk about their own junior or college experience, how the experience affected their career, the high value of performance in the classroom, being a good citizen, nutrition, and individual player marketing. Reps explain to the teams that they are not an agent or advisor, and that the A-List of Hockey Prospects is a dynamic tool for players and parents to be proactive with the recruiting process.

Representatives are also encouraged to submit a weekly article to the site. This is a fantastic way to gain credibility and help open the doors with the youth associations and teams. The articles are also a great way for youth coaches to get a glimpse of each representative's connection to the game.

This unique opportunity will not last long. If you have a phone, laptop, and a valid connection to the game, we are interested in you. Representatives will be given a geographical territory to work in, so respond ASAP.
